40 Amigurumi Patterns for Lovey Security Blankets and Matching Toys

Amigurumi figures are the basis for stuffed toys and loveys (a small stuffed toy with a built-in security blanket) in this collection of adorable crochet patterns. Benitez opens with a series of small blankets that can be attached to any of the amigurumi designs to turn them into a lovey, followed by patterns for the animals (plus a boy and a girl). Many patterns use similar shapes, and rather than repeating the directions, each project opens with a chart listing the various components (head, eyes, body, etc.) with a guide to the location of the directions. Written and charted instructions are provided for all components. VERDICT Benitez's menagerie of amigurumi toys will please crocheters who enjoy making stuffed animals and loveys for the kids in their lives.
